The manufacturing process for our flow funnels

Keep it flowing

Whilst conventional flow funnels are often made from sheet metal that has been press-formed to shape and then welded, Karl Theis consistently opts for manufacture from high-quality, seamless steel and stainless steel tubes. The acceptable number of weak points: none.

  • The process is based on the requirements of DIN 28127 and ensures that the dimensions comply with them exactly.

  • Subsequent heat treatment (such as normalising for P235GH or solution annealing for stainless steel) produces a material microstructure capable of withstanding the highest loads.

  • Each component is also permanently and uniquely marked by dot-peen marking or hard or soft stamping to ensure complete traceability.

Sectors where our flow funnels really shine
Let it flow

Wherever media need to be kept at a precise temperature and conveyed safely, our flow funnels are the crucial link. They ensure a smooth flow between the coiled half tube and the round tube in sectors such as:

Tank construction

For an efficient, flow-friendly connection of the heating and cooling systems to the tank walls

Apparatus construction

The perfect solution for the safe entry and exit of coiled half tubes

Plant engineering

Safe media transport with maximum corrosion resistance thanks to specialised stainless steels

Chemical industry

Maximum process stability by preventing turbulence in the supply lines

Facts about our flow funnels

The link between quality and trust

What makes a good flow funnel?

Unrestricted flow – ensuring that heat and energy reach exactly where they are needed, without turbulence.
Uncompromising seamlessness – for maximum safety and pressure resistance in every one of your systems.
And finally, our century of experience in precision moulding and material processing.

DN
139.7

1996
since then, seamless flow funnels manufactured using a patented process have been setting new standards in terms of pressure resistance and durability.
